Kartik is an aspiring filmmaker who has worked both in a commercial environment with productions like The Viral Fever videos and Dharma 2.0, as well as independently on documentary projects in Kutch and Ladakh. During volunteering stints with AVFI he has helped with archiving and editing footage, conducting a daily study circle and organizing ‘Stree’ – a film festival showcasing work by leading women filmmakers in our country. With no formal education in film prior to association with AVFI, the workshops conducted by them, online as well as offline, and the fellowship opportunities presented by them have helped guide and shape the filmmaker that he is trying to become.
